Who's behind the camera

My passion for photography began 12 years ago in a high school photography classroom with the smell of developer potent in the air and photos hanging all over the walls from past students. My mom allowed me to borrow her dad’s old Pentax film camera to use for the course. I quickly fell in love with every aspect of film photography - from concept to execution to developing and printing in the darkroom. I was enthralled.

After high school, and I no longer had access to the film developing process, my practice behind the camera dwindled. I only picked up my digital camera during vacations or on hikes.

Once I moved to Portland in 2018, I rekindled my love and passion for photography, full force - starting with digital photography of nature and landscapes to what is now mostly film in a variety of photography styles.

When I began my own jewelry business in 2021, I taught myself product photography and styling. This became a catalyst for several photoshoots with local makers, artists, farmers and small business owners.

Let's harness light and color to create the magical photos of your dreams!
